Iris

Iris is an immersive canopy-esque sculpture.
Like the iris of your eye, the sculpture creates colourful
apertures to the sky above. From the below, the audience
moves below a white cloud-scape.
As they travers through teh laneway dots of colour and light
contrast against the white.
Each bubble-like formation is perforated with a colorful
aperture, allowing light to dot the lane way during the day
light hours. The audience is given a moment of discovery as
it moved under the modular canopy, experiencing diffused
natural light and bursts of unexpected color.
The white base hue of the sculpture allow the entire space
to be transformed during the hours of darkness with vibrantly
animated lighting
sequences.
